Song title: John Miles - Man Behind The Guitar

Edit By: 216.73.216.49

There's a man behind the guitar
And he's not too happy as a superstar.
Am I asking too much
Will you reach out and touch
The man behind the guitar?

Big Motors comin',
Smokin', Dixie gum in.
Knit me into a plastic man
Who can that natural be?
Smile though I don't feel good
Wear clothes that they would
Losing all my best friends
Who are asking what happened to me.
Take a good look and see.

There's a man behind the guitar
And he's not too happy as a superstar.
Am I asking too much?
Will you reach out and touch
The man behind the guitar?
 Boy you will go far
You will be a real star
So much money to spend
That you can buy anything that you see.
A movie queen to escort you
In the big Cadillac that we bought you.
All these things and all I want
Is not like how it used to be,
Just take a good look and see.

Still get kicks out of guitar layin'.
The girls go wild when they see my style.

There's a man behind the guitar
And he's not too happy as a superstar.
Am I asking too much
Will you reach out and touch
The man behind the guitar?
