John Miles - Man Behind The Guitar Lyrics
There's a man behind the guitarAnd he's not too happy as a superstar.Am I asking too muchWill you reach out and touchThe man behind the guitar?Big Motors comin',Smokin', Dixie gum in.Knit me into a plastic manWho can that natural be?Smile though I don't feel goodWear clothes that they wouldLosing all my best friendsWho are asking what happened to me.Take a good look and see. There's a man behind the guitarAnd he's not too happy as a superstar.Am I asking too much? Will you reach out and touchThe man behind the guitar? Boy you will go farYou will be a real starSo much money to spendThat you can buy anything that you see.A movie queen to escort youIn the big Cadillac that we bought you.All these things and all I wantIs not like how it used to be,Just take a good look and see.Still get kicks out of guitar layin'.The girls go wild when they see my style. There's a man behind the guitarAnd he's not too happy as a superstar.Am I asking too muchWill you reach out and touchThe man behind the guitar?
